Confidence Sure Looks Great on You!

So what exactly does confidence mean? According to dictionary.com, it means: -full trust; belief in the powers; trustworthiness or reliability of a person or thing.

-belief in oneself & one’s powers or abilities

To have confidence in yourself means that you know that you are more than enough. It means that you are confident enough to know who you are & in that, you can celebrate another woman’s wins without competing with her; you will be happy within yourself, resulting in being happy for others.

When I began my process of rebuilding & transforming my life, confidence was not looking great for me. Because of everything I had been through in my past, once God had gotten me to that place of total forgiveness, letting go & being at peace with it all, my confidence started to build up again. That was the process I had to go through for me to get there. God had to place me in a relationship with myself, getting to know myself over again & learning to love me all over again wholeheartedly. With that came a shift in my mindset, how I spoke turned into positivity. Personal development is what I do daily & it is what you need to do to have that shift in your life.

Start spending time with yourself, loving yourself & accepting yourself wholeheartedly; all of your flaws, all of your mistakes. Do not allow your mistakes of the past to hold you back. Start your day off with God before looking at your phone, checking emails, text messages & getting on social media. Meditate on God’s word daily, listen to positive podcasts, read a book, take yourself out to lunch & enjoy yourself by yourself! All these things are vital in getting to know & love yourself more, therefore resulting in building up your confidence.

Being confident in yourself also means that you do not allow other people’s opinions of you to matter. Remember that knowing who you are & whose you are in Christ is where true confidence begins! So about that confidence---oh but it looks great on me now & it looks amazing on you, too!
